Sonoma State University holding lectures on plug-in hybrids and hydrogen

Sonoma State University in California is holding a lecture series throughout the fall titled "What Physicists Do". The series covers a variety of topics, but there are at least two lectures that may be of interest to readers of this site. Coming up on October 9, Dr. Andrew Frank of the University of California, Davis will discuss the use of plug-in hybrid vehicles as a way of transitioning from an oil dependent economy with a manageable disruption to society. Also of interest to AutoblogGreen readers is the October 30 lecture by Dr. Joan Ogden also of UC, Davis. Dr. Ogden will discuss whether hydrogen is the fuel of the future. The whole series sounds very fascinating to anyone interested in science and if you are in the area you may want to check them out. The lecture series takes place on Mondays at 4:00pm in the Darwin 103 room at the University.
