Autoblog editor John Neff found this
concept for a modern taxi at the
Paris Motor Show. Even though the concept's color is a nice metallic blue, this car's got green all over it. It's got the
Prius' Hybrid Synergy Drive inside and lots of modern touches outside, like a carbon fiber composite body that weighs 75 percent less than a steel body and is also cost-competitive, according to the CityCab
website. Environmental thoughtfulness extends to people, since the cab is also wheelchair-accessible. The CityCab concept is the product of students at Helsinki Polytechnic and the University of Art and Design Helsinki.
The practicality of actually driving a CityCab is not determined yet, as crash tests have been done solely in the computer. You can download an .avi video of the CityCab here.
