Alongside the
Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE seen at the opening of Norway's first
hydrogen station last week, Quantum
Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. delivered four fifteen hydrogen-fueled Toyota
Prius hybrid vehicles to Miljobil Grenland AS. The four are the first of fifteen such
Priuses
Quantum will deliver to Miljobil Grenland, which is a participant and vehicle provider to the Norwegian Hydrogen Highway (HyNor).
The HyNor group is planning on a hydrogen highway between the Oslo, the capital, and Stavanger, a port on Norway's western coast, where hybrogen vehicles can refuel. The plan calls for five hydrogen fueling stations along the route by 2009, with the rest of the country getting hydrogen stations after that.
Earlier this year, Quantum leased hydrogen-powered Prius hybrids to the state of California.
