Honda Motor Company's July vehicle sales were up overall, and sales of the Civic hybrid were up 14.8 percent (to 2,673) units compared to last July. Customers weren't totally enamored with the company's hybrids, though, as sales of the Accord hybrid dropped 63.4 percent (to 504 units). Overall the company sold 6 percent more vehicles (151,804) in July than a year ago (143, 217) and has so far sold 6.9 percent more this year than last year through July. Customers liked Honda's smaller and larger vehicles, with sales of the Civic up 2.1 percent and sales of the Pilot SUV up 32.4 percent.
