Energy conferences in the South are obviously attempting to make it affordable for the average person off the street to come on in. I mentioned recently that the Georgia Bioenergy Conference was offering
free entry to college students and now here comes news of the Sixth Annual
Southern Energy & Environment Expo in Fletcher, North Carolina at the end of August. The three-day SEEE offers daily tickets for only $8 a person. Unfortunately, these tickets don't give access to every part of the conference (the 1/2 day
biofuel production workshop is an extra $40, for example). A complete expo schedule is not yet available, so we'll have to see just how much you'll get to see for your eight bucks, but last year there were discussions of diesel
emissions, ethanol and
biodiesel production and
lots more. SEEE organizers are also promoting on-site tent and van camping for $10 a night.
