We at AutoblogGreen
have mixed feelings about this news. GM
reported sales for its flex-fuel* vehicles such as the Chevrolet
, and the GMC Yukon
and Sierra rose 222 percent last month. (Pictured are the Silverado and Sierra.) Unfortunately, the increased sales are attributed to the $1000 offered by GM to buyers in the Chicago-Rockford area and Minnesota areas where E85 is readily available. Nationwide, though, sales of flex-fuel vehicles rose 128 which does show consumers are concerned about high fuel prices.
*Flex-fuel vehicles can use gasoline or ethanol.
