GM's Opel pulls out of Japan

Opel, a subsidiary of General Motors, will be pulled out of the Japanese auto market by year's end. According to a spokesperson for the brand, the company made the decision after continually posting low sales in the country. Opel recently also withdrew from the Indian market two months ago.
The spokesperson states Opel will continue to concentrate on the European market. GM is still positioning its Cadillac, Chevrolet and Saab brands as viable options for the international market.
