In the suburban Chicago area there’ve long been race nights, but next week will see a somewhat newer combination of racecars and the Midwest Alternative Fuel Vehicle Expo on May 13 at the Route 66 Raceway, according to the

. Of course, some high-performance race cars run on
, but the MAFVE will allow people to get a closer look at
vehicles with free test drives, and some owners of alternative fuel vehicles will race their cars down the track. It seems to be promote-alternative-energy-cars-to-students month (see my previous posts
), since the Joliet Township high schools are involved in the expo.
