car_dealership%20(Custom).jpeg" alt="" /> J.D. Power reports consumers are still buying the same proportion of new vehicles with 4, 6, or 8 cylinder engines. The turnover rate for vehicles in dealer lots has also remained constant. If you look at them in detail, vehicles with eight-cylinder engines do stay on the lot slightly longer then six-cylinder engined vehicles, and the four bangers are literally flying off the lots in 39 to 49 days, but all of this is in line with trends from before the days of $3/gallon gasoline. We can summarize the consumer buying habits as follows: Business as usual! Let’s hope future buying patterns show some movement towards smaller engine sizes.
