DiversityInc honors three automakers in Top 50 list

The 2006 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list includes not one, not two, but three automakers among its ranks. Toyota North America (29), Ford Motor Co. (37) and DaimlerChrysler (43) were among the honored. DiversityInc collected submissions for the list from 256 companies, each of which completed a 200-plus-question survey. The entrants were judged in the areas of human capital, corporate communications, supplier diversity and CEO commitment, the last of which was given particularly heavy emphasis this year, the sixth for the survey.
