production facilities. The southern African country Zimbabwe is preparing for biodiesel production by buying jatropha seeds, a drought-resistant plant which is rich in oil, the
reports. The plant is found in abundance in an area of Zimbabwe, and the government is asking the people to gather the seeds in the forests, instead of waiting for donated or government aid. A local legislator heralded the program as a way to make money, emphasizing that women should be at the forefront of the jatropha program.
