Since the economies of Eastern Europe will continue to expand and use incredible amounts of energy in coming decades, it’s good to see some people are looking ahead. Late next month, Budapest will host the Eastern Biofuels Conference & Expo. According to the Budapest Sun, the regional conference is Europe’s largest biofuels conference and will focus on increasing biofuel production and use in Eastern Europe, an “expanding bioenergy sector.”

The conference chairman, Randy Stratton, told the Sun that, “Eastern Europe will play a pivotal role in providing the feedstock to drive biofuels development and expansion in Europe.”

Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Bulgaria, Moldavia, and Ukraine will all send representatives to the conference, which will focus on all sorts of exciting biofuel and related technologies.
