RideRoom is reporting that
Toyota in the United Kingdom is
recalling all of its first generation
Prius hybrids due to a possible leak in the
battery packs. Toyota claims the leaks would not pose a safety threat, though is going to the trouble anyway of recalling all 1,239 models out in the wild.
This is kind of big news, as a battery leak is a bit more significant than a software patch. RideRoom does not cite a source, although implies in its post that the news comes straight from Toyota UK, which we were unable to verify on the company’s various European media websites.
