Alfred Ford, grandson of Henry Ford, may have to endure some bad karmic juju if he proceeds with plans for a $520 million dollar ski village project, set high in northern India’s Himalayan Mountains. According to The Peninsula (“Qatar’s Leading English Daily”), Ford is enduring criticism from over one hundred oracles of local deities in the Himachal Pradesh.

According to Maheshwar Singh, caretaker of the chief deity Raghunath, “If the state government still hands over the project to Ford, it may even spell doom for the venture… A majority of the oracles feared that the ski village would pollute the local culture and sacred spots on hill tops which belong to deities.”

The state government is requiring that Ford’s enterprise submit a project report detailing his firm’s plans, which could be approved by March, leading the way for Ford to begin construction later this year.
