Three-peat: Honda wins 'Car of the Year' and 'Truck of the Year' awards. Again.

In an eerie deja-deja vu moment, Honda's Civic and Ridgeline were honored Wednesday with 2006 'Car of the Year' and 'Truck of the Year' awards. No, we're not referring to the North American laurels bestowed by a jury of 48 journos last month in Detroit. Nope, not talkin' 'bout Motor Trend's Golden Calipers, either. Think North... as in 'Great White.' Yep. Honda's dynamic duo are the recipients of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada COTY and TOTY honors.

The awards strike as appropriate (if a skosh predictable), as Honda assembles the Ridgeline and Civic in Alliston, Ontario. At least they'll have some place to stow all that hardware on the way home.
