Well, Metro Networks, the largest traffic reporting company in the U.S., begs to differ. It has compiled the ten worst—and they mean worst—traffic problems to plague U.S. roadways in 2005.

This is a list guaranteed to make most of your daily drives seem like a piece of cake. Everything from the La Conchita mudslide in Ventura County, California to Boston's "Big Dig" (at right) made driving a living hell for motorists this year.
