announced yesterday that it will again provide U.S. racing fans with December 3 live coverage of the Race of Champions - Nation's Cup.

The 18th annual event is the traditional end-of-season showdown for 19 selected racing and rally drivers, competing head-to-head on parallel tracks inside the Stade de France in Paris.

Centrix Financial, sponsor of Team USA, selected NASCAR's Jeff Gordon and X-Games champ (and rally driver) Travis Pastrana to represent the U.S. Wild card participants Sebastien Bourdais (Champ Car World Series champion) and Dan Wheldon (Indy Racing League champion) will also represent U.S. motorsport. The Race of Champions is an individual event for 19 of the world?s best drivers, who compete head-to-head in identical cars in a series of heats to determine the ?Champion of Champions.? In the Nation?s Cup, the same drivers compete in two-man teams to determine ?The World?s Fastest Nation.?

Competing against Gordon and Pastrana will be Sebastien Loeb (WRC), Jean Alesi (DTM), Colin McRae (WRC), David Coulthard (F1), Tom Kristensen (Le Mans) and many others.

Last year?s winner, Heikki Kovalainen, went on to star in 2005 GP2 competition, and may well launch his F1 career in 2006.
