Stock car racing's favorite amateur gymnast, Carl Edwards, was untouchable in his third win of the season at Atlanta Motor Speedway Sunday. A resurgent Jeff Gordon was second, ahead of Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Roush Fords finished first, third, fifth and seventh.

Tony Stewart finished ninth, but padded his Chase for the Championship lead over Jimmie Johnson to 43 points. Greg Biffle gained some ground and now sits in third, 75 points back. Edwards moves up to fourth, tied with Ryan Newman 107 points behind Stewart.
