Ford F-150 Microsoft Edition at SEMA

The venerable F-150 will be the centerpiece of Ford's SEMA display in a special edition that was developed in cooperation with Microsoft. Inside Line reports that the truck is aimed at contractors who require a "rolling office". It gets its own laptop with a charging system built into the center console and a credit card reader that enables a contractor to order supplies while on the go. (BTW - 2006 Lariat XLT shown)
All jokes aside about this new F-150 crashing at random, production is likely for the 2007 MY as a special options package. No word, however, on whether the Microsoft Automotive software we reported on back in April will be loaded on the laptop or whether it will be able to jack into the truck's on board computer via the OBDII port.
