Viva la Minardi! - Red Bull says not so much

It would appear that the ForzaMinardi.com petition to Red Bull to keep alive the Minardi name in F1 has fallen on deaf ears. The petition, signed by more than 15,000 fans (!), was delivered to Red Bull HQ October 13, but Grandprix.com reported Friday that Red Bull Racing plans to rename the team Squadra Toro Rosso (an Italian translation of Red Bull Racing). Drivers are yet to be announced, but the rumored candidates are Scott Speed and Tonio Liuzzi.

Minardi will complete its 340th, and last, world championship race this weekend.
