So say the critics, let the wussification of Jeep begin. Motor Trend has more spy shots up of the 2008 Jeep Compass, which only just recently debuted as a concept in Frankfurt. Jeep faithful, after having just gotten their heads wrapped around the full-size Commander, are now forced to confront a car-based Jeep that will compete against such vehicles as the Vibe, Mazda3 and Toyota's Scions, according to MT. Power will come from the same 2.4L I4 in the upcoming Caliber and Patriot, but don't expect this thing to be trail-rated. We're curious to know if you think Jeep has the ability to successfully expand its image with the Compass or if it's headed for some rocky roads.
