After a review prompted by Delphi's Chapter 11 filing on Saturday, the New York Stock Exchange suspended trading of the company's common stock and debt offerings. The Exchange pointed to "abnormally low" trading volume as the reason for the suspension.
Delphi says it will list its stock and debt on the over-the-counter bulletin board, under the symbols DHPIQ for its common stock and DPHAQ for its preferred shares.

The stock fell 70.5 percent Monday to close at 33 cents, on volume of about 7 million shares. It opened on the OTCBB at 35 cents.

Meanwhile, the federal Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. said Tuesday that Delphi  pensions are underfunded by nearly $11 billion. Whether or not GM will be called on to back some benefits is still unknown.
