Lutz sounds off on Zeta, employee discount pricing

To follow up on Eric's post on GM's Zeta platform, Bob Lutz opened up yesterday to The Car Connection to say that while development of the platform may be back on track, the likelihood of Zeta vehicles being exported to the States is getting dimmer due to the weak dollar.
Lutz also agreed that GM will probably take a hit in the wake of its employee pricing plan promotions because of empty dealer lots combined with high gas prices and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As gas prices retreat back to sub-$2.50 pricing, though, he expects sales to rebound.
