Smart Crosstown concept

The Smart Crosstown is just a hair larger than the fortwo in every dimension of scale, but it's biggest feature is that it's powered by a hybrid drivetrain (I'm beginning to see a trend with hybrids at Frankfurt). The funny thing is that Smart says it doesn't know when a hybrid drivetrain will be available for the fortwo and fourfour, instead insisting that cdi diesels are getting the job done in the fuel economy department. One interesting feature of the crosstown is that its front windscreen can be removed and stowed underneath the hood. The vehicle has an electronically-controlled convertible roof, which means sans the windshield the Crosstown becomes a truly open air vehicle.
