More than a few readers notified us of an auction for a very rare 1969 Chevy Camaro ZL-1 currently up on eBay that is set to end at 9:44 PM EST today. The bidding started at $775,000 and is currently at $850,300 with 34 bids, which is insane. That's got to be a record for a muscle car, any collectors out there know? The auction states the car is a Fathom Green 4-speed with 9,820 original miles and that Scott Tieman Restoration performed a complete and correct restoration on this extremely rare muscle car. It's also noted that it just won a Blue Ribbon at the Meadowbrook Concours d'Elegance in Michigan, but…

?readers have tried and failed to find any record of this car appearing at this year?s Meadowbrook. We checked out a press release by the organizers of the Meadowbrook that had a list of featured cars for this year?s show, which a ?69 Camaro ZL-1 would surely be on. It wasn?t, though a 1964 Dodge Charger Roadster made the cut. Suspicion has also been raised by the fact that the seller is encouraging interested parties to get more information about the car at his website, which happens to be a website for a Camaro restore parts business. We can see how the auction may look sketchy a bit, but the seller?s rating is 99.2% over 515 auctions, which is pretty damn good. Either way we?ll see what happens when the auction ends tonight.
