I love Doug Flint. More accurately, I love his Mechanic's Tale column on The Car Connection. Service techs have, shall we say, a unique perspective on the real-world quality, and in this week's column Flint opens fire on Volkswagen. He runs through a variety of the problems he's encounters (some of which I've known about, and others that were quite surprising), and then fires off the money quote: "Sooner or later the customer will meet a Toyota owner and discover this is not normal."
