Mitsubishi's comeback is going to require a spark from somewhere, and the 2007 Outlander could be the igniter it needs. What's most noticeable in these spy shots from The Car Connection is that Mitsu has abandoned the "beak" look on the front end.  Hopefully it's a sign that this controversial piece of styling has been trashed on future models. The next Outlander will grow larger, possibly including a third-row seat to accommodate up to seven passengers. Engines for North America will most likely include a 3.0L V6, unlike the current model that is underpowered with its 160-hp MIVEC 2.4L four-cylinder. In our opinion, the styling looks pretty anonymous, almost derivative. Of course there's only so many ways to cook up an SUV, but at first glance I thought this Outlander was a Mazda.
