Europe gets new Chevy payment plan

Chevrolet has begun a new payment plan in Europe, according to Auto Express, called 3 And Easy. The new plan offers no interest, fees or monthly installments. A buyer will pay one third of the list price when an order for a car is placed, another after one year and the remainder two years later. The new payment plan is only scheduled to be available through the end of July on a certain range of models.
This is an interesting plan, especially since there's no interest and right off the bat you pay down a third of the vehicle. This would get you out in front of the vehicle's depreciation right away, although it requires a huge chunk of change up front. If you were planning to pay off a vehicle in two years it sounds like a great deal, but not everyone can afford such an accelerated timeline.
