GM-Toyota fuel cell partnership in the works

Toyota's new president, Katsuaki Watanabe, has stated that a GM-Toyota partnership on fuel cells is likely to be finalized soon. How soon exactly is unclear, but you can be certain that a wave of speculation will ensue. It seems that both manufacturers are well into the development process. Each of the two companies seem to hold key parts of the fuel cell puzzle. GM's target fuel cell prices have also been much lower than Toyota's and on a faster time table. This could mean that GM is closer at perfecting the manufacturing process.
