A press release crossed our desks this morning from Predator Motorsports stating that the Hummer accessory manufacturer has been contracted by "various overseas agencys" (sorry, had to repeat the typo) to build a series of high performance Hummers. These conversion packages will be available for H1 and H2 Hummers and feature engine, transmission and suspension upgrades, the latter of which will be an air bag conversion. Horsepower will come in stages of 350, 450 and 525 with torque figures topping out at 1,220 lb-ft. Oh yeah, and the company claims gas mileage will fall between 18 and 21 mpg. Those are some tall numbers for a company that offers no insight as to how it plans to achieve them. We'll have to stay tuned to see if anything materializes from this press release. One has to wonder how large of a market exists for a high performance H1 Hummer anyway, but we're sure Jay Leno has already been notified.
