The Showroom Showdown is really about prices and features and how the two stack up against each other. After having seen the new A4 at the dealerships and seen the prices, it is easy to agree with Forbes that the Infiniti is better value. Forbes does mention that the Audi offers more configuration options, which they spin a little negatively. Infiniti has two variants, each with a manual or automatic transmission option. The A4 has a myriad of model choices including a convertible, a wagon, and the S-line. The European market is a little bit different that ours, and the variety of choices is something that is perhaps more acceptable to European consumers.
It is an interesting match up. When think of these cars, we tend think of how they compete to the segment benchmark, the BMW 3-Series. It is important to gain perspective by looking across the segment at other combinations of competitors. The comparison is also just a paper comparison, so driving dynamics and other features do not really come into play.
