We do know that all 2006 Corvettes will get the three-spoke steering wheel first featured in the Z06 (order code NK4) what we have not confirmed is the availability of a tap-shift. These pictures from DigitalCorvettes.com clearly show the up/down shift buttons on the new steering wheel, but no word has been issued from GM about when the system will be available. We do believe that GM will soon announce the MXO 6-speed automatic transmission will replace the 4-speed auto for 2006, which is what the tap-shift is most likely attached to.
