Jim Mateja does some reporting into why Pontiac turned to a second popular TV show for a product placement. While the Oprah G6 move was widely praised, the car didn't sell. The barely noticed Solstice stunt on The Apprentice was to drive potential buyers to sign-up to buy one of the first 1,000 Solstice's to run off the assembly line. Our guess is the Solstice ploy will work better because all indications point to it being a remarkable vehicle. And in the end that's all that really matters.
