This week Outagamie County Sheriff's Department in Wisconsin gets a new undercover car, a Toyota Prius. We only kid about the acceleration properties of the Prius Hybrid. As more hybrids spread through model lines, law enforcement offices are a great place for their use since they are very fuel-dependant. It would help the environment and bring down costs for taxpayers. The new Charger's Hemi has cylinder deactivation, which is also a step in the right direction. The Prius is just a test to see if hybrid use could be cost-effective in the fleet. Picture is of the Landspeed Prius at the Bonneville Salt Flats.
