Mayors aren't the only city employees getting in trouble for fancy rides. Both the executive director and chief operating officer of the Toledo Zoo turned in their respective leases on a Jeep and Dodge for a pair of new Volvos. This did not sit well with locals. The director went with a new XC90 SUV, that he claimed was safer and more fuel efficient than the Jeep Liberty he was in previously. Taxpayers are footing the $673.94 a month for the XC90 and that's on top of the director's salary of $175,535. The COO brings in $107,646. Who knew there was so much money in monkeys?
