Sure big daddy GM believes in the Swedish brand but how long is that faith going to last? In 2004 Saab lost $200 million and this year might not be much better depending on the success/failure of the new 9-7X. We're betting failure on that one folks. GM is considering a few drastic steps to save Saab and they may include basing all Saabs on shared GM architecture (how many are left anyway?), refresh the 9-5 and then possibly kill it and/or Saab may just become a rebadging outfit adding "Swedishness" to other GM products. Sounds like an exciting time for Saab.
