"SHINKA" in Japanese means "evolution" or "transformation" and with the RX-8, Mazda transforms the rotary-powered car into a more luxurious package. Only 2,150 "SHINKA" Special Editions will be built. This RX-8 can be configured with the six-speed manual and 238-hp engine or a four-speed automatic with the 198-hp engine and steering-wheel-mounted paddles for manual gear shifting. The suspension gets a tweak with a foam urethane filled front suspension cross member and specially tuned dampers to improve rigidity and stability. Outside the car features the Black Cherry paint (only color available), semi-gloss bevels for the headlamps and tail lamps and dark-silver gloss aluminum wheels. Inside you can sit in the tan leather interior and enjoy a 300-watt Bose sound system with in-dash 6 disc CD changer. All cars get a one-year subscription Sirius radio included.
