DT: For some reason the MX didn't floor me in person. Perhaps it was all the advance images as we discussed in
person. I was suckered into the Mazdaspeed 6 and just lust after that two-tone leather and big, big hood. Heck even the
Mazdaspeed RX-8 (with no engine enhancements) was hot. I'm still unsure on the Mazda 5 though since they already make a
solid minivan. Mazda just makes great cars. Too bad no one notices.
WK: The MX Crossport was one of the better concepts of the show, probably because there is a lot of production
intent. The MazdaSpeed 6 is quite a barnstormer that is a little hefty on the price tag, but it does add a lot to the
Mazda 6 package. Overall I think Mazda is putting themselves in a very good position with products and Ford-sharing
money savings and the continued emphasis on MazdaSpeed is a good one.
