Detroit Firehouse gets smart

DaimlerChrysler gave the gift of smart to Firehouse Number 1 in Detroit. The small fortwo was delivered in fire engine red with emergency flashing lights and the Detroit Fire Department logo on the doors. Fire Commissioner Tyrone Scott later told reporters "we are going to save lives with this (smart) vehicle because it's size will allow us a better first-response capability in areas of the city." DCX also donated $50,000 dollars to fire department and safety programs in the city. I applaud the donations, but why do I have visions of 50 clown paramedics piling out of this car?
