We mentioned in the Neon replacement story that it would be powered by the new line of four-cylinder engines co-designed by Chrysler, Hyundai and Mitsubishi. Chrysler has released official information regarding these engines. The new engines will replace the 1.8 liter, 2.0 liter and 2.4 liter currently installed in Chrysler vehicles. The plan is to build 2 million engines a year from plants in Korea, Japan and Michigan.
