More Diesel vs. Hybrid debate

Over at the Green Car Congress Mike Millikin takes us through an interesting comparison between a diesel engine offered overseas in the Honda Accord and the new Honda Accord Hybrid now on sale in the U.S. I like this comparison because even though the diesel wins, the author at least quantifies that Honda wanted to make the Accord Hybrid about performance and not about groundbreaking consumption figures. Good work. In the end the diesel gets better mileage and has better CO2 emissions.
