Catch you on the flip-flop

Well, it's been finalized (again)...Funny Car driver Gary Densham is out in the cold after being cut from the roster of John Force Racing. This was the second such occurrence for Densham who almost lost sponsorship from Force at the end of the '03 season before a last minute extension. Commenting that he is reluctant to leave the team, Densham is a casualty of Force's commitment to promote the younger generation of his family and, in all likelihood, will be replaced in the Auto Club of Southern California Mustang by Force's son-in-law, Robert Hight. While Densham has collected a few associate sponsors throughout the past year, he has yet to find a major in order to nail the economics of a full '05 shoot. I can almost hear the phone ringing over at Don Schumacher's house.
