No I didn't get to drive the new Mustang yet. That will hopefully come soon. Actually I'm just talking about an average everyday get home from work day. I opened the mailbox to find the new Motor Trend with the 2005 Mustang on the cover. Immediately my eyes fell to the figures stamped on the cover, "0-60 in 5.1 Sec." What?! 5.1 seconds? For $25,000? Man that'll get me reading the story. So I settle down in front of the tube, put the magazine down, turn on the TV and see what I have saved on TiVo. Hmmm what's this "Extreme Mustang" show I taped after Overhaulin' last night? Oh it's the seemingly Ford produced documentary on the team that built the all new Mustang race car. Can it get any more Mustang oriented in here? I hope the car lives up to all this media hype. But from Motor Trend's story it sounds like it will. Some more Mustang GT numbers:
