If you pay any attention to those oversimplified electoral maps, you know that our nation is mostly divided into Red States and Blue States. While it may be suggested that the official Blue State Vehicle is the Prius, Ford makes no secret of the fact that its mammoth F-250 Super Duty is marketed as the ultimate Red State mode of transportation. They've got an advertising campaign positioning the truck as "The Beast", looking three kinds of menacing while perched on some rocks, which are clearly meant to represent the deformed heads of liberals. Ford has also forged a country music link, hoping that fans of the Red States' official soundtrack will cough up for some trucks. Ford even has an F-250 tie-in with country dude Toby Keith, whose previous concert tour was used to hawk F-150s and other material embodiments of ruthless jingoism.
