Mazda5: it's a bird, it's a plane, no, it's a space wagon

Making good on its promise to do something with the MX-Flexa concept vehicle that showed up in Geneva, Mazda will be offering its new global product, the Mazda5, visible at this year's Paris Motor Show. Of course, even though the Mazda5 is a global product, it will not come to the U.S. market, because we do not like smartly designed crossovers, and prefer hulking behemoth SUVs to move our families and gear around. But I digress. The space wagon will be a kind of sportified MPV with multiple interior seating arrangements and room for seven. Four powertrains will drive the pod, two gasoline engines and two common-rail diesels designed explicitly for the Euro market.
