I've personally held off reporting on this case because I'm a very big NFL fan and Derrick Thomas was one of my favorite players. I think it was because of his play and the fact he had my initials actually got me to follow his career when I was younger. So when I heard about the lawsuit following his death in a rollover crash I decided to wait it out and see what happened. A jury has absolved GM of any wrongdoing in regards to the specific crash. It was a sad accident and one wonders that if Derrick Thomas was wearing a seat belt, like the only person that survived the crash, if he'd still be with us today.
