Lexus Hybrid SUV delayed

Everyone knew it was too good to be true. Lexus'RX 400h has been put on hold for a few months until February 2005 instead of December of this year. Among the reasons for the holding pattern include giving engineers time to hammer out some of the kinks found in other hybrids. The delay also allows a build-up of inventory so there aren't those decade long waiting lists that have swamped Toyota dealers with the Prius. Less significantly Lexus will also be able to designate the RX 400h a 2006 model. I guess that makes it sound more futuristic than 2005.
