Don Hammond likes a big sedan. In reviewing the new Pontiac Bonneville he repeatedly references the Chrysler 300 as being the ultimate large American sedan. But he also likes the GXP trim of the new Bonneville. Yet he is unimpressed with the car's transmission and undercarriage, which are both aging. And he loves the Bonneville's 275-hp V-8 engine. In the end the car's value seems to win out with a loaded price tag under $40,000.
