The Daily Record is reporting that "veteran rocker" Rod Stewart's gardener was so pissed off after Stewart canned him that he stole a yellow Dodge Viper from the crooner's Palm Beach, Florida mansion's garage. He sped off, crashed the sports car, and abandoned it 30 minutes after the initial heist. A Florida patrolman saw the Viper take off, but the fuzz thought it was simply the "veteran rocker" leaving his estate in a hurry. Some children found the car in the bushes near a canal. The gardener was caught and charged with grand theft auto and causing damage estimated at a whopping $750. The "veteran rocker" was apparently not home when the theft occurred, as he was reportedly at the salon getting his natural hair replaced with bird feathers.
