Mercedes never seems satisfied with their luxury sedans until they can blow the doors off almost everything on the road. So, today the German automaker announced the 2005 CLS 55 AMG. The 4-door coupe has a supercharged 476-hp engine that produces a bladder shaking 516 lb-ft of torque. It goes 0-62 mph (or 0-100 kph for those that prefer the metric system) but is limited to 155-mph top speed. Too bad. The AMG version also offers luxurious nappa leather in three colors. No one ever questioned Mercedes ability to do luxury and now they seem to be doing the luxury-slash-performance as well as anyone else.
